アーティストのマーガレットが言った。
ビジュアルポエム？
初めて聞く言葉だった。
言葉の響きに広がりを感じた。
「カラスは唄なの」
「夕焼け小焼け」
「夕陽が沈む」
「漁網の川はお盆です」
「灯りを流すでしょ」
「釣りをするのは私の影」
「釣り上げるのは４歳の私」
「壁に埋まった記憶」
「それはシルエット」
「竹の自然なライン」
「みんな、私の記憶」
「みんな、違うマテリアル」
「私の中でひとつになる」
「私の中にかえりましょう」
記憶の断片が置かれた作品。
それが、“Visual Poem”なのか。
記憶の断片は互いに関係性を持たない粒のようなもの。
それが一枚の立体絵画になっている。
それは、「さざれ石」のような塊なのかもしれない。
遠近感も縮尺もバランスを欠いている。
それは、レイヤーの重なりなのかもしれない。
視覚的には奇妙な塊だ。
ビューポイントがひとつに定まらない。
「ビューポイントは、ひとつだけじゃない。作品の周りを移動しながら観るのよ。」
アーティストのマーガレットは言った。
私が動けば、記憶の断片も動く。
これは、動く立体絵画なのか。
記憶の断片のひとつひとつは具象であるが、それらが配置された全体の構成は抽象的になる。何が読み取れる？
記憶の断片が置かれた作品。
それが、“Visual Poem”なのか。
私は記憶の断片の塊を眺めている。
記憶と向き合う。
記憶の断片の塊が私の裡に忍び込んでくる。
その角度と画角はひとつに定まらない。
いくつもの記憶の断片を多方位から浴びる。
それがトリガーとなる。
とりわけ、目を引くところがある。
作図された自身の影が、幼い頃の自分の写真を釣り上げるという構図。
幼い耳には「カラスの唄」が響いているようだ。
「夕焼け小焼け」カラスが舞う。
その陽が沈む色合いは一際明るく眩しい。
川の流れはこれまでの生きてきた「時間」を描いている。
描かれた「時間」は歴史を刻んだ壁の中へと潜り込んでいく。
そして、歴史が刻まれた壁の配電盤にぼんやりと薄明かりが灯る。
この世の図ではない。
記憶の中で結ばれた図。
私の裡に何かを連想・想起させる力。
それが、“Visual Poem”。
ひとつの無意識が別の無意識とシンクロする。
その様は、もう個別の領域を超えているのかもしれない。
私の裡には私の知らない波が泳いでいる。

私の裡に私と向き合う私が居た。
私の「断層」。
それは、私が追い求めたものでもあった。
それは決して捕まえることができず、たえず変様していく。
今も尚。
記憶の中で生きている。
記憶は上書きされる。
私もまた、夕陽の時刻を迎えているのかもしれない。
たどり着けるのだろうか、無意識の領域へ。
この掌の中に「感情の粒子」。

"This work is a Visual Poem."
Margaret, the artist, said,.
It was the first time I had heard that word.
The sound of the words felt expansive.
“A crow is a song ”
“yuyake koyake ”
“The sun sets ”
“The river of fishing nets is OBON ”
“We let the lights flow ”
“The fisherman is my shadow ”
“My shadow caught me at age 4 ”
“Memories buried in the walls ”
“It's a silhouette ”
“The natural line of bamboo ”
“All my memories.”
“All are different materials.”
“It becomes one within me ”
“Let's go back within me ”
An artwork in which fragments of the artist's own memories are arranged.
Is it a "visual poem"?
The fragments of memories are like particles that have no relationship to each other.
It becomes a three-dimensional painting.
It may be a mass like "SAZAREISHI".
It lacks balance in perspective and scale.
It may be overlapping layers.
Visually, it's a strange mass.
There's no single viewpoint.
"There's more than one viewpoint. You move around the piece.
The artist Margaret said:
When I move, the pieces of memories move.
Is this a moving three-dimensional painting?
Each piece of memories is concrete, but the overall structure in which they are arranged becomes abstract. What can you read?
A work in which pieces of memories are placed.
Is that "Visual Poem"?
I am looking at a mass of pieces of memories.
I face my memories.
A mass of pieces of memories creeps into me.
Its angle and angle of view are not fixed.
I am bombarded with pieces of memories from many directions.
This becomes a trigger.
There is something particularly eye-catching about it.
A drawn shadow of himself catches a picture of himself as a child.
The song of crows seems to echo in young ears.
The crows dance in the sunset.
The colors of the setting sun are particularly bright and dazzling.
The flow of the river depicts the "time" that has lived so far.
The depicted "time" burrows into a wall carved with history.
Then a dim light shines on the switchboard on the wall carved with history.
It is not a picture of this world.
A landscape that connects with memories.
The power to associate and recall something in my mind.
That is "Visual Poem."
One unconscious mind synchronizes with another unconscious mind.
That way may be beyond the individual realm.
A wave that I do not know is swimming inside me.

There was me inside me facing me.
My fault line.
It was also what I pursued.
I could never catch it, it was constantly changing.
Even now.
I live in memory.
Memories are overwritten.
I too may be at sunset.
I wonder if I can reach, into the realm of the unconscious.
In the palm of my hand is a particle of emotion.
